Lab Nine: Copy at least six sound files from the CDs provided in class and choose one to play with. Rearrange the sound using cut, copy and paste. You might also try reversing segments of the sound. Try playing with the percussive properties -- a piece of a word repeated quickly can sound like a drum. Or the melodic properties -- a phrase reversed and pitch shifted might take on a melodic quality. Use these techniques to extend your sample to about 30 seconds. Now combine that lengthened clip with the other clips you copied. Sequence the various clips together into a single composition of about 30 seconds. Once you have your clip sequenced together, call me over and I will mark you as completed.
